there's an Australian TV station, and their regular feature is
making fun of USA's VP. (her Giggles, stupid remarks)

i guess... this series had toned down a bit in the last few months?
A few days ago a touring music group cancelled its
Newcastle concert at short notice. Not long afterward the remainder of
its entire Australian tour was cancelled.

It happened because one of the band members had his birthday
party on stage in Sydney. When the birthday cake arrived, he was invited
to make a wish. He said "I hope they don't miss next time".

Apparently the backlash was extreme. There are more Trump
admirers in this country than I would have guessed.<<<

i see... it's like the Dixie-Chicks' incident from 20 years ago.

In March 2003, the Dixie Chicks, a hugely popular
country music group, found themselves in the midst of a massive
controversy. While performing in London, lead singer Natalie
Maines expressed her disapproval of the impending Iraq War and President
George W. Bush, stating, "We're ashamed that the President of the United
States is from Texas."

is [Sky News Australia] only on the Web ?

or in Australia, is it a TV station
like CBS, ABC, ... in the USA?
Sky News Australia is an Australian conservative news
channel owned by News Corp Australia. Originally launched on 19 February
1996, it broadcasts rolling news coverage throughout the day, while its
prime time lineup is dedicated to opinion-based programs featuring a
line-up of conservative commentators. Wikipedia

Sorry for the off topic, but I'd like to ask for Peter's comments on
what I read elsewhere today about Kamala Harris, because he's the
only Australian I can rely on. Other Australians are also welcome.
They know Sky News Australia, unlike me.
1. Sky News Australia has started its attacks and misinformation.
Rita Panahi the bastion of bullshit and hate is literally salivating
with hate. The usual racist comments from the echo chamber of hate
that is Sky News.
2. I am in the USA and seen some bad channels and Sky News Australia
is a level of cancer I have never seen before. If ISIS had their own
news network it would be more civil than SNA. Hope no sane Aussie
watches it.
3. It runs the political and media agenda in Australia.
I can't reply with any level of expertise, because I have never seen a
Sky News broadcast. I'm aware that it's a Murdoch company, which means
that I'm careful to stay beyond bargepole distance. I'm also aware, from
comments by journalists elsewhere, that its main product is
misinformation. I think it can be seen in some pubs, probably because it
also runs things like football. The thought that some people might be
watching it in private homes, without coercion, makes me despair of the
general intelligence level.

At one stage it was believed that News Corp would switch to real news
once Rupert retired. Now it turns out that his son, the new chairman, is
just as far around the twist.

I'm surprised that Sky News Australia is attacking Kamala Harris. What's
the point? The number of Australians eligible to vote in the US
presidential election can probably be counted on the fingers of one
foot. We do have grounds for being scared of Donald Trump, who poses a
threat to the whole world, but it seems to me that the Harris issue is
purely a domestic matter.

One further point: Sky News Australia is on pay TV, which doesn't seem
to have a huge take-up in Australia. Those who aren't happy with
free-to-air TV are more likely to put their money into something like
NetFlix.
